Shakespeare Marionette Company
As an extension of her artist-in-residence experience at the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England, Kathleen founded the Shakespeare Marionette Company in the early 1990s in Shipston-On-Stour, England. Working with woodworking craftsman, Paul Furniss, Kathleen built and clothed marionettes for the Shakespearan productions of both Macbeth and Midsummer Night’s Dream. With the assistance of former RSC’s Collection Director Brian Glover, Kathleen and Paul traveled throughout Europe with these marionettes and a portable traveling stage to perform before live audiences of young children and adults.
